NEWER DEMO SONGS

We’ve been meaning to update/upgrade the quailty of the demos below. Let’s face it, they suck. But we’ve been so busy that 1) we haven’t had the time (or energy given the 4-5 nights a week we work), and 2) Their quality really hasn’t hurt us, as most folks hire us after seeing us live, either in the clubs or at someone else’s wedding. While the average wedding band doesn’t play live often enough to have enough people see them perform, we work 200+ gigs every year, so potential clients don’t have to make up their minds about hiring us based upon some cheesy lip-synched video or doctored song demos. So please keep that in mind when listening to these samples of our music. Some are 10 years old, the rest are 5 years old. Everyone seems to agree the band is much better now than ever. Come out and see us live and decide for yourself.

These songs were recorded live to two-track one afternoon in January 2003. There are no overdubs or retaped parts.

What a Wonderful World | Louis Armstrong
Autumn Leaves/Fly Me to the Moon | Frank Sinatra
It Had to be You | Harry Connick Jr.
Let's Stay Together | Al Green
Me and Julio | Paul Simon<
Call Me Al | Paul Simon

NEW 2007 JAZZ RECORDINGS

Here're a few quick soundbites of us playing some jazz at a wedding in July '07. Keep in mind these are live 'soundboard' tapes with no overdubs or edits.

Things Ain't the Way They Used to Be (Duke Ellington)
That's the Way of the World (Earth, Wind, & Fire)
Take the A Train (Duke Ellington)
Mercy, Mercy, Mercy (Cannonball Adderley and Joe Zawinul)

NEW 2007 LIVE RECORDINGS

We thought it might be fun to put up a tape of us playing live, "warts and all." This is a board tape completely live with no overdubs (it's barely even mixed). There are some brutal moments, but we trust everyone will appreciate it for what it is -- a snap shot of us having fun playing our regular Friday night gig at the Skellig in early August '07. Keep that in mind when comparing this to other bands' polished, overdubbed studio recordings. Hope you enjoy it.

These are taken from two continuous sets, cut up into smaller files for ease of listening. In our sets we often transition seamlessly from one song to the next without stopping, so some of the cuts on these tracks are choppy. Some tracks include 2 or 3 songs because they blend together so much.

OLDER DEMO SONGS

We did this tape on our own about ten years ago, in a home studio. We were under a lot of pressure to get some promotional material out, so we rushed thru the process, and cobbled together the collection you're listening to. Unfortunately, many of the styles of music that we play are not represented We've been trying to get ourselves back into the studio on our few days off each week, but don't hold your breath.....

Centerfold | J. Geils Band
We Are Family | Sister Sledge
Easy | Commodores
Jackie Wilson Said | Van Morrison
Thank you Falletin Me / Everyday People | Sly and the Family Stone
Brick House | Commodores
Pick up the Pieces | Average White Band

Notes on downloading MP3 files:

These MP3 files are each about 1.5 to 3 MB. If you have a cable, DSL, or other high-speed connection, downloading will be pretty fast.

If you only have a dial-up account, they will take a lot more time to download. The file may begin downloading in the background, without any notification of status.
